museumA Poem by sea lilycrap
anniversary of lost lost,
behind glass case and held aloft. ivory figure no longer holding my gaze and i chose birds instead. locks of hair clasped in their feet ruby eyes in golden heads. (lely's venus, crouching slightly, unfamiliar face of hours' study i left her there and carried on blindly. there was no warm welcome, only her blank eyes fixed above me.) © 2009 sea lily |
