No Longer

A poem about loss.

I no longer need eyes,
For I shall not look upon beauty like yours,
The soul in me dies,
And my body washes up upon the shores,

I no longer need ears,
For I shall never again hear your angel voice,
In my dream I shed black tears,
I would stop these thoughts but I have no choice,

I have wept a thousand times,
I have ripped out my heart,
  I no longer hear the chimes,
Because now we are apart,

I no longer need this life,
For if I end this,
If I take the knife,
If I go into the abyss,
there is a chance,
we shall meet again,
and forever dance

In heaven.
