Forget

Forget

A Poem by Seamus Underwood
"

A poem that explores a love bordering on worship

"

Nothing in this world is perfect,
But when I see your hair flecked,
When I see your eyes shine,
I see a face almost divine,
I forget.

Nothing can quite compare
to you: I am quite aware,
I try to find the words to say,
but they seem to fall flat on this day,
I see you and I forget.

The world around you is bright,
The stars shine tonight,
You are the brightest of them all,
You have made me your thrall,
And I forget,

            Forget how to love.
