Ode to an open mind

Ode to an open mind

A Poem by S€H@J
"

This is one of my finest piece A tribute to ode to joy by beethoven

"
Awake,
O hearts of wonder, rise!
Through darkest night, we seek the skies.
With voice and will, we break the chain,
And dawn shall come through toil and pain.

Sing! O voices, wide and free,
Bound by thought and destiny.
From mind to hand, from fire to quill,
Let truth arise, let time stand still

No tyrant’s word, nor fleeting gold,
Can halt the dream the wise behold.
Through storm and stone, through shade and flame
, We write, we speak, we carve our name!

 bright tomorrow, forge the way!
In noble verse, in truths we say.
 Together bound, yet ever free,
One voice, one heart, one legacy!

 bright tomorrow, forge the way!
In noble verse, in truths we say.
 Together bound, yet ever free,
One voice, one heart, one legacy!

It was a refreshing read 🤔 kind of like a power metal song. In a way it's pure feeling and that's always good.

SehajZ,
I usually hesitate to read and review poetry by folks whose primary language is not American or British English... I take a glimpse, and leave...
BUT! You caught me! What a superb wordsmith you are! You avoid cutesy tricks and conceits and bouncy rhythems. Instead you just find the perfect word with the most meaning , AND IT FITS!
"Awake, O hearts of wonder, rise!
Through darkest night, we seek the skies.
With voice and will, we break the chain,
And dawn shall come through toil and pain."

When I attempt to craft anything but free/blank verse, I always have to compromise meaning for sound. I admire and respect your skill!
