Poem I: The Library Of Can

Poem I: The Library Of Can

A Chapter by S€H@J
"

A metaphorical library that represents the vast potential of the human mind — a place where one’s state of being (neutral, greedy, innocent, or vengeful) shapes the knowledge and experiences they find

"
Enter be the man
In the Library of Can,
Where thou may find a man "
In a book… how can?

As soon as one enters,
The books stir and quiver,
And as the air grows thinner,
The man opens the lan.
In the library of can

Enter be the thief,
With indecisive mischief "
He opens a fan of pages
And learns how to steal a man.
In the library of can

Enter be the child,
With eyes so wild "
He opens the books and sees:
A garden full of candy trees,
With a gingerbread man
In the Library of Can.

Enter be the warrior,
Of the Empire Maurier "
He opens a book of frontier
And sees but blood and fear.
Too much, even for him to withstand "
In the Library of Can.

For this Library exists not in stone nor land,
But in the mind of mortal man.
Each reader brings what lies inside "
And so, within, the truths abide.

So I know you posted a little blurb up top about the meaning, but I also quite enjoyed the idea of this poem relating to the vastness of potential and the power of human imagination. To grow, to be, to create within the infinity of ideas is a concept explored by many, but sometimes, the mark is missed.

Here, however, you did something incredibly unique. You kept a solid rhyming scheme while also exploring several points of view, which opened up the chance for multiple writers from multiple backgrounds to be brought into your space. It adds relatability, magic, and expands a universe that, oddly enough, cant really be added to. A unique take that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This is a **metaphysical labyrinth**, where books are not just objects but **portals to the self**. The "Library of Can" isn’t a place—it’s the **mind’s echo chamber**, reflecting back what each reader carries inside.
