The day the sun didnt rise

The day the sun didnt rise

A Poem by S€H@J

Enjoy

"
All dark swept over painted skies.
I walked down the flowing path "
Dark a light, bright a dark.
A symphony bloomed beyond the blue,
As if the gods sighed one last cue.
Water flowed like shifting ink,
Time began to blur and sink.
I dove into the river’s stream,
Where space-time cracked "
a drifting dream.
The stars still hummed their silent rhyme,
While I slipped softly out of time.

You've created amazingly visual words that slowly.. slowly... slowly.... reach that place where - the light goes out.

'Water flowed like shifting ink,
Time began to blur and sink.
I dove into the river’s stream,
Where space-time cracked'

This poem is beautiful!
You create a clear image and feeling of being swept away and disoriented by the lingering night
I also love the alliteration, especially in the lines:
A symphony bloomed beyond the blue,
and
Time began to blur and sink.

The final couplet, “The stars still hummed their silent rhyme, / While I slipped softly out of time,” is pure magic. It’s quietly profound, like the end of a dream you want to stay in. Truly poetic.
