Two sides of a coin

Two sides of a coin

A Poem by Senu Jayasinghe

I am deaf,
I am blind.
All I see is grey,
White noise, all I hear.

So tell me"
tell me everything will be alright.
Listen to me,
until all my woes fade away.

Tell me
to open up,
to trust,
to be happy.

Tell me, until I listen.
Scream, until I listen.
Scream, until the walls come down.

Or better yet"
Turn back time
For shattered hope
kills more souls
than despair ever could…

HOPE, hard to come by, easy to lose. But without hope, there is nothing left really. In today's world there is a big loss of hope among so many people. Part of why so many are lost in the me, me, me culture. I like the idea of "scream, until the walls come down." Thanks Senu, for sharing your poem
