A Poem by S. S. Allen

I like to touch your buttons.
Gingerly I'd get them undone.
And to make crinkles in your shirt too...
I'd take them off,
When you allow me to.
But sometimes I go too far
And you'd take a deep breath
Perhaps to calm yourself.
Other times,
Your aggression comes out.
And you don't even shout
And my eyes are welled with tears.
Knowing that it's my biggest fear,
And though you scare me,
It's just a little bit
But I can't stop myself,
I like tugging at your strings.
