Waves

I can hear them.
The waves.
I know I am sleeping.
Though not how to wake.
Wake of the waves.

Cradle me in its embrace.
Slowly rocking me back to sleep.
I must break away.
The waves break over me.

I need to open my eyes.
I need to see.
Yet slowly the shards of my soul.
Fall back into the sea.
