Prologue

I sit at the edge of a cliff, the maw of the ocean beneath my feet.
It is flowing to and fro, a pendulum of motion. Yet it is constant.
The world behind me is not.
People are constantly moving, calling for me, but only for a moment.
Soon, they disappear, leaving behind only the mixed feelings they hold.
After all, they are simply shadows, puppets of my mind.
All but one.

I gaze out upon the infinite ocean before I rise and make my way forward.
Always forward.
Into the haze of my inner world.
I will find her.

I love how vividly descriptive it is when you are talking about the ocean; it paints a great image in my mind and makes me feel like Im actually at an ocean, even though I know what youre talking about is an ocean in your mind. And I really like the fact that the last line pretty much guarantees that people are going to want to read more. Well done love
