Battle Scars

 

Have u loved and lost?

Experienced such beauty then chaos?

He stepped  into my life

A blissful surprise

Then walked me to my very own demise

Drunken nights and cigarettes

Kept me company

When I was fueled with regret

These wounds I have

Remind me

Of the life I left behind me

The one thing that kept me sane

Was the one I lost

What a bloody shame

My face painted in crimson hues

I begged him to fight

But he chose to lose

The dream is over

The battle has just begun

I lost it all

While I was staring at the sun

Very powerful lines. I can imagine the pain one feels when losing someone like that.
