Sometimes
I sing as loud as I can to anyone who's bothered to listen. Sometimes I spill my heart onto pages so it can be read by awaiting eyes. Sometimes I can feel a person's empathy taking over me and healing my soul. Sometimes I like to believe that I can do anything and fly as high as the stars. But most of the time I listen to the melody of a keyless piano. I read the words of a broken soul. I step into the shoes of an overthrown king. I oil the wings of a wounded bird.
