I Will Not

A poem.

When the stars fall
I will be there
and when the galaxy
collides with us
I will watch

I will be there as the earth
heats to a boil
and bursts into flames

I will watch as the sky
is lit with a million
glimmering lights

And I will not
shed a single tear

because

we had it coming.

Author's Note

I'm a bit out of shape, been really busy so this isn't the greatest. I need to re-boot my brain and poetic muscles. Sigh. Oh well, hope you enjoyed it none the less. :)

Well, I enjoyed it. It had a fine mix of beauty, heartache, and a dash of cynicism. A perfect poetic recipe! A fine bit of writing :)
