Sorry

A Poem by Shelby

I wrote this during high school.

When sorry sounds so ugly
Coming from our mouths
Claws spread to strike
And fingernails on a chalkboard
Sorry is painful against my lips
My teeth aching on the "s"
And my throat shrieking against
The "rry"
And a drill grinding through my head
Everytime I say it.
I'm sorry
I'm sorry
I'm sorry.
But you know what?
I really am.
