Heroin girl

Heroin girl

A Poem by Shelby Taylor

I am your heroin girl,

You’re saying that you need it.

I’m going to make you mean it,

I’m going to make you bleed it.

I am your heroin girl,

And for years I got you high.

Now you’re going cold turkey,

And I’ll smile whilst you cry.

I am your heroin girl,

With that singular simple use,

I make you feel f*****g great,

Through heroin abuse.

I am your heroin girl,

You cannot abuse me anymore,

I won’t give you one more hit,

When you’re writhing on the floor.

I am your heroin girl,

I am scraping through every vein,

And slowing down your nerves,

Until you’re relying on the pain.

I am your heroin girl,

Not as innocent as I looked,

All grainy white and pure,

And now I’ve got you hooked.

I am your heroin girl,

But you took the path to crime,

Selling your soul for me,

Selling your soul one last time.

I am your heroin girl,

And I’m cutting your supply.

Now you know how it feels,

When you know you’d rather die.

I am your heroin girl,

You’re obviously unskilled.

Everyone knows about heroin baby,

Heroin gets you killed.
