Pen or Pencil?

This is one of my most recent creations. For the last couple weeks, I wasn't really inspired to write anything. Suddenly, I remebered a poem I had read on dA in the past and was instantly inspired!

You write in pen

I write in pencil

are you so sure that you’re using

the write words?

let me erase that…

the right words

smeared in blue black ink

(not quite sure which color you prefer)

 

I want to forget

the wrong words

(let me erase it please?)

And leave nothing but a graphite ghost

Of what I shouldn’t have said

 

But maybe you’re right

to scratch out the wrong words

in a single thick line

they remain

(the wrong words)

but they are forgiven

when your blue black blood bleeds

i love how the imagery ties together the entire poem from beginning to end

That's a clever little piece! I tend to write in pen personally, or on the computer - where any wrong words vanish with the tap of a key!
