Santa Ana Winds

Once again
The air has turned to fire
Hot wind blazes through the canyons
And the hills
The hills
Alighted, burn to ash
Like on the butt of a cigarette
Heavenly Fire
In the City of Angels
Call it destruction
Call it creation
Fertile black earth
Brings forth fresh green
Life

I went to college in Costa Mesa and quite remember the Santa Ana winds.. such a powerful, warm freedom, and fulfilled within your insightful words. So well done!
