Hearts Desires

this is part of the "FROM THE HEART" collection that i will be starting.. the poems that are part of that will only be written from the heart...

Day after Day I wonder
Why I can’t let myself accept
What I know my heart desires

It’s like I’ve got a fortress
against Hurt and nobody can demolish it

I hope I find a day
where I can get past the fear of getting hurt
Or the potential of betrayal

these were all written awhile ago, my inspiration for most of them left when the girl who inspired me to write poetry left.. but if i can find some new inspiriation i'll write some new ones, and thank you for your comments :D

Me too, i find that the best part of it.. especially long after you've written it, and the person you wrote it for is long gone.... that way you can still maintain your "happy" feelings without wondering if you could change what has or did happen
