Playing house

Playing house

A Poem by Shownashappening

We're all just water in fancy dress
Playing house-of stone and flesh.
Home is dust as far as fire's concerned
So dust and sand is what the big ball of it prefers
So leaf, bug, river and blood
Snake, cow, rock and bone
Conspire against fire
Hoping to exhaust
That ball in the sky
From putting our game on pause

"Water in fancy dress" very clever line.
There is dust across the street from me. My neighbor is working on plans to rebuild his house which was completely turned to dust by a nasty fire last year.
