The universe in a samaraA Poem by William KremerVery very rough.
The universe in a samara,
Twirling fancies down upon a dense mat of blades Swirls in ellipticals, bold archs from grass to peat Sunken in depression, rain imbeds it to its resting place. A split second of ; Mountain and Wave exploding to dust and spray, River ripped from mouth and headwaters up Rock and salt morphing into monoliths of bone and cell As the ground grows pallid, with no husk left. All is sheared-into green from black to face fires' probe. All has met sun again, a tree now stands of universal flotsam and jetsom, soon to hold dying universe upon universe In its very own nebulous canopy. © 2026 William Kremer |
