Erasure

Erasure

A Poem by Shredded Cabbage

I taught you
how to navigate
the labyrinth.

Tied the silver thread
to guide you back to me,

it trembles
from your wrist
to my waist
like a second heartbeat.

I remember waking
to the sound of water,
dissolving the distance
between us.

It was drowning
to feel your love
erasing us both.

“Tied the silver thread to guide you back to me” “Like a second heartbeat” Nice lines. Are you speaking of a child or a lover? I guess it’s up to the reader to interpret as one wishes or has experienced. You have written repeatedly a thread that guides me back to your beautiful writing.
