Rescue
A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce
My lover's aid
came to stay-
when the ornery
darkness
rode upon my heels.
Yet Angels
wings flung
my self above
the game-
mounting my name-
his and mine
combined
He and She
we found
answers
to the truths
unbound
with one another
only together
could we
flee
the rivals rule
the evil being.
Freedom
was his gift
to me
he lay me down
upon the bed
clasped his hands
into mine
lapped my body
from head to toe
rolled eyes gazes
back and fro-
splintered all
the pain away
replaced my fear
with mad desire
the passion of
a walnut tree
rooted, grown,
fruited forth
his seed
within me now
will sprout
a soul
as mighty as
ourselves.
The life blood
green and red
spills forth
upon the page-
His heart, soul
and mind
unite to tell
the tale
of this tragic
South.
Where our love
paths crossed
once and then
kept apart
furrying
farther below
the Mason Dixon line
while I keep
camp up here
away from
my true love's
stare.
An erection of the eye
I miss
when you would
banter softly
with me
pleasing
my generous
curiousity
the flip of your hand
in mid quip
I suppose is as lasting
an impression
I may have for now
these brief memories
subside and exist
among the treachery
of longing
to see your kind soul
saunter past my door
again.
My lover's aid
took me away
to travel
within
the monsoon's
maze.

This is amazing. A story, almost legend that unfolds........a beautiful love..........the last stanza was beautiful.
I suppose is as lasting
an impression
I may have for now
these brief memories
subside and exist
among the treachery
of longing
to see your kind soul
saunter past my door
again.
The longing and memories are always there, the desire.................I'd love to know what inspired the write.
