Poetic Undertakings

Poetic Undertakings

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce
"

A Collaboration between Arthur Henn and myself. Please enjoy...

"

The silence of a whisper flows
Upon the winds of change
Divided by shadows of wandering clouds
That will bring forth
The wonder of our emerald sea
Bestowing the gifts of heaven
Winning a generation to follow

The birth of a tree in and out of season
Feels the pain of erosion
Swallowed by emotions
Through seasons of flowing storms
Birthing streams of running water
Journey of crossroads where wildflowers grow

A life of their own

Increasing, rising upwards
Making paths for a future of young and old
To embed and grow
The innocence of time possessing beauty
Sways in the warmth of our love

The call of our wilderness
In its majestic azures, mauves and umbers
Takes us into each others loving arms
Where our souls feel the tenderness
Of the breeze, the kiss of a leaf
Its colors blanketing the land
Reaching for the breath of fresh air
The fragrant aroma of les fleurs

The French accent, the scent of a foreign flower
The power of friendship brings us together
The outlet of partition, that yearning
Sealed by each word we wrote
Now unfolds upon each other
Like the sea coming ashore

This night we spent together
A new generation will follow
Flowing up from the depths of our eyes
We hear child’s play
With every word penned in ink
They will have the color of your eyes

Never having seen you
Only reading your words
Anticipation wanting to know you
I now lie with you
Like the pen resting in your delicate hand
Always imagined this, this is by far the best

Although apart in time we were
Timelessly released into one another
Like the words written in stone
The refrains of the rains
Against the windowpane
Of our two adobes
The storms can not wash us away
For we are rooted together
By words
No longer separated by the sea of love
But we two long for the same within one another
As well as that in which we are to become
One, with Mother Nature
And these tasks we take under
Our wings spread to fuel the fire
Of desire set alight
In the passing of each word
Scrawled mischievously upon the pages
Of l'hiver

Winter like that of generations past
Resting, layered upon earlier glaciers
Its shadows becoming lighter
With each sunrise
Showing its apparel of valleys and streams
Growing between us
The admiration for each others words has flourished
Off the streams you and I rest on
Thinking of the warmth behind each word
That brought us together
Watching spring cast her wings on our horizons
Of inspiration

And so too the these words we write
Passing through our minds
To lips unuttered
But placed endearingly upon the pages
Of les livres
The cold of winter warmed by the love
Of our souls
Engulfed by the springtime breeze
Ensnared by the hunters trap
That is set in our new season
Of life sprung back
To revel in the suns warmth
That of an unborn child
A new generation
Embraced and nourished
Our words tracked upon the pages
Of our journals
Set before us, night and day by candlelight
The toil of love does not go unnoticed
But unfurls fanciful scenes
Our souls set a flare with
The longing and desire we entailed
Our hearts song
Set to print before us
Awaiting them eagerly everyday
Hoping they will continue
To say
Those loving, caressing, delicate
Delightful things
We masterfully wrote
Within our ring of
Poetic undertakings.

That which flows, flows gracefully
upon the pages of my soul.

The woman you are is the splendor
that flowers into poetry.

Thanks Sid...This was fun and you are a pleasure to write with.
You are very talented. Keep writing and never stop. You are a poetess.
