Wash Myself of You

Wash Myself of You

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

The eerie winks

haughty denials

quips and snips

forget them all

and run away.

Start again

begin anew

piece back together

at its best

this awful mess

of tyranny

that I have lived through.

Waste no time

no longer mine

I care to dine

now singlely

and wash myself of you.
