Between You and I

Between You and I

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

The passion has come

like the June sun

in brilliant flashes

cacophanous clashes

between you and I

in bombastic romps

around the room

you are coming soon-

home

my One

as here I lay asleep

dreaming of such desire

and ye are still far from me

away from the fires

that consume me so

in my sweet dreamland

where the passion has come on

like the June sun

in brilliant flashes

cacophanous clashes

between you and I.

. . . have you ever read something you wrote many years previously and said, did I write that, I don't remember writing it but hey, it is really good. When I read Between you and I, thats the feeling I had. Some well chosen words, written on paper, and then time moves on, until some one in the future reads them, and time stands still, the poem jumps back to when it was born, fresh and new to the reader as if it was only a day old.

I really liked this poem!
You captured the passion and emotion of missing the one you love.
This would make for beautiful lyrics as well.
Nice job.

cacophonous! most soothing and calming lol. Yes more fiery magic faerie dust in this. Makes you sneeze and sneeze and other reflexes which blow one's mind wide open, like a supernova. I read the other Van Sand AGAIN just before this and keeeeerrrriiikkeeeeyyy.
