'Til The End

'Til The End

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

To the tune of the whipporwill

I place my quill

upon the page once more

to capture that

which you are

the kind-hearted charm

the loving embracing arms

the beauty so sublime

as to stop time

in its place

with one embrace

between us

when we fall once again

to the floor

begging for more

of that special love

only two know of

giggling all the way

there is nothing to say

but beg for more

of that which I adore

you, my loving friend

I'll feed you 'til the end.

I'm going to intrude upon you're "conversation" ~~ it was Little Shop of Horrors; Audrey 2, being the "FEED ME" plant; I missed that show on Broadway, had the flu that night and could/wouldn't go.

An alternative words for yummy... in this case how about, ambrosial or delectable... just depends ;~)
The quill, the whipporwill, the time stop... it like reading oneself into a past millennia in search of bliss. Fun to read, fine work. Thanks for sharing!

Now I feel like the giant plant in that comedy who says "Feed Me" and to think I will even eat on the floor, as long as Nature agrees to shed the Emperor's new clothes. The floor the floor with "one" embrace never, rolling around ever hugging even the thought, even the whipporwill giggling tunes to spurn us on. I wish I had the ultimate word for yummy. Then again it's around here somewhere...
