Sister

Sister

A Poem by Siddhi Satpathy
"

This poem is from the perspective of a brother, to his sister who isn't with him anymore and studies in a hostel.

"

My sister, I miss you a lot

I miss out little fights

I miss it how I went to the washroom

and you switched off the lights.

Its been 2 days you’ve gone,

the house seems so incomplete.

Everytime I sit silent in the car,

helpless I stare at the other seat.

They say you’re just a few miles away,

They say you are studying hard

I miss it how you saved me from mommy,

Everytime when it came to my report card.

My sister,we fought we laughed

And we spent memories together.

I can’t forget how we played and helped each other.

All I can say, my sister, I am proud  to be your brother!

That's sweet of you to think of family so closely. It's a great piece.
