A poem I wrote for Domestic Violence Awareness

My word means no right for you to put your hands on me,

no right to hurt me when you feel you can.

You try to hurt me;

physically

emotionally

sexually

I have rights that you need to respect.

When I say that two letter word,

you better use your ears to respect
