I Shall Love You, Always

A rather simple love poem. Not my best work, but...

My dear, when the sun shines bright and clear...

I shall love you.

Should night descend, and I lose my way...

I shall love you.

In the Spring, when our love is green,

In Winter, when we seem to grow distant...

I shall love you.

When storms should come,

And all seems lost;

I shall lift you up so that you might be filled with hope.

And when you look up to our Father above,

I shall rejoice His name!

My darling, no matter what comes our way...

I shall love you...

Always.

It was indeed simple, but that is what made it so beautiful. It hinted at a few of the psalms, I thought. A wonderful poem about everlasting love.

I get it. Saw the love shinning and the tight clasp of a hand holding onto you too. Hard times also make your grip tighter as not to loose your hold. Yep, that's how faith is built and warriors are created.
