Never Did I See,

The things around me.

Not the sun,

Not the stars.

Only darkness,

But never was I bothered,

For I knew no other way.

For most it stains the soul,

Blackening their very being.

I liked it! (You forgot to capitalize and I in the second to last sentence.) Some people don't know any other way. They walk around and say nothing, bottle up their feelings and yet they are OK... I interpreted it that way even if you didn't mean it like that :) Very well written and a great read. Good job! (I'm gonna change this up a bit) Keep writing poetry!! :)
