An Open Book

Life is just an open book
You might now take another look
For what you missed the first time round
Is still there waiting to be found

Another chance, another way
Don't be put off by what they say
Head onwards into where you're bound
You're covering more than solid ground

By every thought and every hope
Which sees the light and helps us cope
We're led to something far more grand
Preparing now our final stand

The leaves are bound to help you out
Read on, see what life's all about
The tree is strong, with endless roots
Be open for those nice green shoots

Don't close the book or think it bland
If it be new or second-hand
Somewhere within there'll be a clue
Read on, the book's inviting you
