SufferingA Poem by Simon J HallidayToday's PoemSuffering Who knows why we must go through Some suffering when we speak what's true But often that's the way things roll We take the flak to reach our goal And blameless souls can suffer too For no good reason in our view We stand amazed at what we see No answers come for you or me And yet why are we here at all? A trillion people build and fall Unending power which comes and goes Some days are flat, in some life flows So take the times which mean the most And keep them close, but not to boast For each of us will live and die In suffering learn, let's not just cry (c) Simon J.
