Clouds

Clouds

A Poem by SimonThePoet

We watch in awe and gently sigh
As they torment us from the sky
And bring with them a looming threat
Of making hopeful spirits wet

Without a glance they amble by
Caring not for you & I
We live beneath their iron reign
And have to weather their disdain

We feign consent and bow our heads
And wrap our naked skin in threads
I paint a landscape where they're gone
And fill my lungs to blow them on
