Bastardly Deeds

Bastardly Deeds

A Poem by Janice

Bastardly deeds

once again you have done

These things go unpunished,

so you think you have won?

You have won nothing

 but dastardly, cowardly deeds

And painted a poisonous picture

for you young son to see

He will never grow up to be

a so called "man" such as you

I vowed this upon my life

with every time you put me through…

Beatings and blood

Broken bones and broken mind

But today I will assure you

it will be your very last time

I have enough evidence dripping from my body

to have you put in prison for good on this very day...

“NO, NO! Wait son don’t shoot, put that shotgun away!”

Wow! A very powerless feeling you leave in the end of this poem. I truly feel for those in that true situation. It happens to more people than others realize. Being a domestic violence...well, being that I had experienced it, I can sort of relate to this poem in a metaphorical way. Excellent work.
