DarknessA Poem by R.J CalzonettiThe sun is fading, leaving me in darknessDarkness My futures bleak, I know I'm too weak A normal life I seek, but I'm just a freak I'll never be loved, no one place for me above And when push comes to shove, my facade of happiness will come off like a glove The skin of my life is just too thin, I cut myself on everything I used to fly on feathered wings, but I've been ripped to shreds by the talons of others I remember when I saw a glimmer of light on the horizon, like everything was alright The future used to be bright, but now I realize what I was looking at Pain Burning bright red, the sun is setting for me. Leaving me in darkness. I don't know if my eyes can adjust. © 2017 R.J CalzonettiAuthor's Note
