I tried to help you,

I tried to be your friend.

But at this point,

I can see I was just being a fool.

You didn't deserve my attention and time.

But I gave it.

Only to be slapped face,

like a helpless maid being beaten by her arrogant mistress.

I've never stopped regretting trying to be your friend.

It was a waste of precious time and energy.

But i can never regret,

the lesson you've taught me.

"IN EVERY DECISION, ME FIRST".

Feelings in motion. I think the adage. "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Then you say I've never regretted trying to be your friend. May mean you have enough heart left to try a third time. I'm not sure what fooling me a third time might be. But it might be worth a try.
