Born from the soil of Bauxite and Iron Ore

My belly filled with the sweetness of Koki and Ndole

Watch as I dance Bikutsi to the sound of my brother’s Balafon and drum.

Follow my brothers to our plantation of yam, beans maize and many more.

See my beautiful people

Dressed in Toghu, Sonja, Kaba Ngondo and much more.

Join me as we celebrate the Ngondo festival with the people of Sawa.

To tighten our bond with Miengu,

Our water spirits

And with the moon is in the centre of the sky,

Let us sit in a ring around Jeli,

The old story teller and listen to the story of “The Talking Skull”

And learn not to talk too much.

I am Jomdo,

A Fula girl of Cameroon,

And wisdom is the meaning behind my name.
