Forgiven

When I was about six I was "saved" but it was not until these past few months that I have finally given my entire life to Christ and I cannot tell you how just how free I feel!

You gave me life and a voice to sing;

You gave me hope:  to live and be free.

There's no mistake in your perfect plan:

You sent your Song to save the world from death.

 

His life was holy and sinless too:

You call us all to be more like you,

I am your own adopted child:

Though hurt and broke, now, forever I'll be with you.

 

You've taken me on account of your grace,

Thank you Lord, for I'm forgiven!

 

I will sing praises the rest of my days.

When I am down, I'll fix up my gaze

to Heaven, I will close my eyes

and see your Light; I cannot wait for eternity!

 

You've taken me in on account of your love,

Thank you Lord, for I'm forgiven!

You've taken me in on account of your mercy,

Thank you Lord, for I am forgiven!
