Liar

Sisyphus sits

silent, saddened, upon

his stone throne and listens to the

lyre.

Author's Note

A cinquain consists of five lines, in which the first line is 2 syllables, the next is 4 syllables, the third is 6 syllables, the fourth is 8, and the final fifth line is 2 syllables again.

It is said that even tortured Sisyphus stopped rolling the boulder uphill to hear Orpheus' beautiful music.
