Enforced Silence

When thoughts and opinions are ignored...

They don’t listen to what I say

And I never repeat

They never bother about my opinions

And they enforce a silence upon me

They ignore my honest comments

They look away; not in my eyes

They find ways to exclude me

I don’t know why?

They make me feel unimportant

Useless, neglected and tense

And I end up not speaking at all

Giving in to this ‘enforced silence’

Just some thoughts banging in my head for the past couple of hours.I came up with the title and decided to write 'something'.Hope it came out fine...

I think you have done a wonderful job of expressing what I think we all sometimes feel - that our opinions don't matter. That we are somehow insignificant. I assure you, you are not. Some people cannot see a diamond in the coal, that doesn't make the diamond less valuable.

Very nice, I would remove the quotations from the last "enforced silence" though, your words already give a punch to it, you don't need to rely on the punctuation.

This is good. I could feel the despair! I thought you captured what it is like to be ignored! Trust me I know how that is at times! Great poem!
