You sound like the perfect friend to have in real life: Always there, knows when to give you space, and will comfort you when you need it the most. This poem/song almost brought tears to my eyes lol. Right now, I don't have a friend like that anymore. They're all off "doing their own thing" and completely ignoring the fact that I exist. (This all started because of one friend *sigh*)
But you're right... sometimes what one person needs is to cry with a best friend and let all of their emotions leak out. Times can be hard, and when you don't have a friend like that, you tend to feel out of place, etc.
