The curtains are voluntarily drawn over my eyes
I have that peace
That you are well collected in my outstretched arms
I have pulled u close
Close enough to smell the scent of your skin
Feel the sensation travel to my heart and mind
Acting like a drug; relaxation, consumption, addiction
My fingers find their way through the dark mass of your hair
So very soft to touch
I fiddle with them till I see you frown and pull my hand away
But I still have you
In my arms, pulling you close
Or maybe holding on
To that one piece of heaven
Borrowed from some
Stolen from none
Recording the butterflies and the goosebumps in my memory forever
Feeling complete, loved, adored
Feeling wanted
Feeling drugged
By the only one who can do so
The one nuzzling my neck
Thinking the same or something different
Or maybe he is not thinking at all
As he has often pointed out
We are there
Fused into one
A perfect blend of mind, body and soul
The synchronization of love
The realization of dreams
The attainment of peace
All that happens
In my outstretched arms
That still strive to collect the scattered pieces of heaven
From the endless storm of time
When the love is good. Few words can express the happiness of pleasure and being content.
"We are there
Fused into one
A perfect blend of mind, body and soul"
A very good ending to a outstanding poem.
