When the first drops fall

Pit-pat-pit

Drops fall on dry earth

Nature’s musk scents the air

Breathe deeply, intoxicating

Rejuvenating, renewing

Love it! I think you said that about mine that you reviewed, lol. But I do love rain. Each line of this short verse just tripped off of my tongue. It felt just like the experience of rain beginning, just as you meant your poem to be. I could even see the little puffs of dust as the droplets hit the parched patches of dirt in the grass.
