One Day at a Time.

It's not a poem, not really, just a short little writing I made a while ago.

Sometimes you just need to stop, ya know? Not to do anything at all, just sit and watch cars pass, or birds fly across the sky, clouds move, anything at all. Anything to know you're still alive. That you're not just some dead person walking along the street. You just need something to fill that hole inside of, but can't find anything. You think and think, but life never gets better, no matter how good you are, no matter how great you think you are, no matter how many lives you save, no matter how much you listen. Life doesn't notice. It still treats you like s**t, no matter how hard you seek answers for what you did or didn't do. But sometimes, you just stop because you're so tired. Sometimes pain is the only thing you know, because it helps you know you are there, and that's okay. It's okay to feel like that. I feel like people just need to take one day at a time, but then again, what's the point? Life isn't fair. Because life hurts, hurts a lot more than death, and I don't think people understand that.

This reminds me of my past self. I was struggling with grief at that time. When I saw your post, it made me rethink of all the things i had felt, not eating enough, not sleeping enough. For a moment death isn't actually the only way to stop this feeling. It's to move on.
