Behind every beautiful thing, there’s some kind of pain.

'So, you're in love then?' He said, leaning his back up against the wall, smoke coming out of his mouth.

'Mmm..?' I take the vape out of my mouth, looking back at him.

'You love this girl?' He thought for a second. 'What was her name.

'Alice!' I blurted out.

'See. You know who I'm talking about.' He laughed.

'You tricked me!!' My face went red and hot as I looked down quickly, putting my hands over my face.

'Ha! I didn't trick you, you did that yourself.'

I groan, looking up at him. 'You're an a*s.'

'Tell me 'bout her.'

I went over and stood next to him.

'She's perfect. She's already my everything. We are playtioc right now. But I really like her. I just...' I paused, looking down at my shoes. 'I don't wanna mess it up, ya know. I want to tell her, but I don't want to ruin anything between us.'

He laughed again.

'You should just tell her and go for it. You clearly have a thing for this girl.'

'But I-'

'Yeah, yeah. Don't wanna mess it up.'

'I'm being so real with you right now. She is going through a lot, and I want to always be there for her. I can't even live without her anymore. She is my reason for living, for breathing. I can't lose her because of my feeling for her. But, I don't know how to pu-'

'Yeah, I know. Put it into words. Just be yourself man. Tell her what you told me.'

'Thats diffenet though. Its not the same. I can't say that to her, I would freak out!!!'

'You're so wired.' He sighed as he started to walk off. 'I'm off. Just tell her man. You talk so highly of her, I'm sure you'll be fine.'

I walk home that day, her on my mind. My younger brother beside me.

'You good?'

'Yeah, just thinking. You think I could tell Alice I like her?'

'Yeah!'

'Of course you do.'

'You would be so cute! You talk about h-'

'Okay!!! Calm down!!'

'Its ture.'

'What should I say? I don't even know how to start. I love her so much. She so pretty and awesome, and she reminds me of a stray flower in a field of sunflowers. She doesn't know shes pretty, she just is. But, if you pick it too hard, it'll snap, and if you re-plant it, it grows.'

'Ew....Your corney.'

'Its ture. I want to be the one to like, re-plant her?'

'Re-plant her?'

'Like, I don't know how to put it. I want to always be there for her, to have random conversations with her or just sit and listen to her. And I want to remind her everyday how much she means to me. How much I love her...'

'Okay, I'm leaving now...'

As he walked out I sighed a long breath. I flopped on my bed looking up at the roof.

'Love is so confusing.'
