RIP

Just something I wrote

As the rain gently falls on the mourners heads

I think on this gloomy day even the heavens cry

For you were taken away from me far to soon.

Your life was ended short by a drunk driver.

It wasn't your fault and yet you were the one

that died. Why did you leave me? Why were

you taken away from me? You said forever,

but that was a dream. But I have to move on.

For my sake and yours. I will continue to live

as I should.

I love the way this poem starts sad, but ends on an uplifting note. Stuff like this, to me, accepts that tough times will come, but that doesn't mean tough times will control. Also, I really like the ending about the sun shining through, which is probably the best part.
