Gratefullness

Inspiration hit me as soon as i finished my book.

Gratefulness

Have you ever

stopped to wonder

how everything 

is so beautiful?

How to the crisp autumn meadow

and the  soothing ocean breeze

provide us

with the feeling

of truth and peace

Are you grateful

for all these things

because

they could all be taken away

in a  flashing blink?

THe autumn would lose it's 

crispness

The ocean

it's serenity

I wonder now

would you 

realize

how much we have

until it's gone?

Wonderful message! It's strange how easily we get caught up in sadness, regret, and dissatisfaction. Why is it that we tend to forget all of the wonderful things that fill our lives? I hate the fact that I often take things for granted, and only appreciate them when they are suddenly gone. This is a great piece Jared. Thank you for sharing it.

This poem is so true. Too many people are ungrateful for the great things that they have, and many of them need reminding of how just grateful they should be.

In a time in which it seems as though negativity reigns supreme, it's great to just take a step back and realize that life truly can be beautiful. You've shown us this with your piece. A couple suggestions...I found a few typos (second to last stanza "THe" to "the" and "it's" to "its"). Aside from that, I think that there is something wrong with the line "How to the crisp autumn meadow", not sure you meant "to"...? You may also want to think about splitting up this stanza after the question mark. Great sentiment, and overall, a nice read.
