Murkey WatersA Poem by JaredThe pond is clear. It sparkles like a frozen diamond. Hundreds of vibrant fish. Painted in colors beyond the spectrum. Years later something has changed. That clear pond, those sparkling diamonds, those vibrant fish, aren't so bright anymore. That sparkle is dimming. And frankly I'm scared. Years after that, could you even tell what had once been there? Could you even tell that hundreds of fish are now dead? Would anyone even remember that sparkle?
