That BoyA Poem by Andromedaa very long one-sentence poem hahahOf course it would be him— That boy who Can rattle off the states In a voice which makes Words seem like Chocolate raindrops— Of course it would be him To try this feat: This feat which Few have dared and Fewer have even Considered: To create the longest sentence— The longest in the world: To sing out in Words that Spin about And form Interlinking Coils, Like intricate Snail shells In delicate dirt of Summer Texas grass, Which the dew drowns all it touches and The dirt reaches up to Stain the sky A shade of Huckleberry Finn afternoon— Of course it would be him— That boy who Sits in the back of class and Celebrates the stares he receives: Piles them up like Pennies in a jar; That boy who Doodles drawings of Pirates in cowboy hats and Clowns in tuxedos All over his Addition homework— Of course it would be him to Try this feat, Nearly win this feat, And then Laugh his progress all away, Like kneecaps stained By red clay and Rhyming days in May.
