Depthless shadow,
Like the great darkness of an inescapable hole-
A hole which nothing, no one, nothing can flee.
A grasp that holds tight and yanks with more than strength,
A poison that cannot be broken free from;
Always there,
Always slyly insisting, always taunting, always bribing,
And never liberating.
Black- the Devil's heart.
Red- the scathing fire.
A cavernous, infecting hate; a virus,
The bittersweet sting of guilt banished to be an abandoned, forgotten thing.
A vilely encroaching haze, gray and heartless, and easily sweeping,
Covering all in frost of poison and dark shadow of sin.
